Dell planning a 19-inch notebook | News.blog | CNET News.com
How Big is Too Big for a Laptop screen, Yesterday I got my 17 inch G4 Powerbook delivered to my doorstep. Now this is my first laptop but as a computer users for 15 years now (god now I feel old, and I’m only 25) I think I know what I want in a screen.
I don’t want to go from my desktop (which is 17 inches) which has a nice resolution and displays webpages without having to scroll horizontally, to a laptop that has something under 17 inches and my screen layouts are not what I’m used to using.
Then there becomes the issues of portibility, can you imagine trying to take Apple’s 20-inch Cinema Display with you on the road to Starbucks or Barnes and Noble? Will the laptop even FIT on the little coffee tables they give you to sit at
How big is TOO big? My boyfriend doesn’t like my powerbook because 1. He thinks apple is overpriced and therefor doesn’t want their products (yet he drives a Mercedez Benz) and 2. The screen is too big.
17 Inches maybe too big for him, but its JUST RIGHT for me, my mother owns a dell with a 15 inch monitor and it just hurts to look at it, 17 inches gives me more screen space to view webpages and have other programs open, but I don’t think I’d want anything bigger has it just becomes too big and bulky to be portable.
Will I even have any extra space for my drink on my tray table on my trip to Las Vegas next month if I put my laptop on it? I hope so.
