- 2 teaspoons Lavender Flowers, crushed

1. Prepare the Dry Ingrediants: In a medium bowl, stir together flour and salt. Set Aside |
2. Prepare the Wet Ingrediants: In a medium bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Beat in egg, flowed by vanilla, then grated lemon. Mix in crushed lavender flowers. |
3. Combine Dry into Wet: Gradually beat in flour mixture until thoroughly combined, about 3 minutes |
4. ✱ Refrigerate the Dough: Gather dough and shape into a large ball, place in plastic wrap, and refrigerate until dough is firm (approximately 1 hour) |
5. Prepare Oven and Roll Out the Dough: While the dough is in the refrigerator, preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Then on a lightly floured surface, roll dough out to approximately ¼ inch thick. Gently cut cookies with 2" round cookie cutter. |
6. Bake the Cookies: Place cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet (Parchment paper works well here) and bake 12-15 minutes or until cookies are lightly brown around the edges. Let stand 2 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool. |
