Four Versions of Riverdance CDs OverviewThanks to a dedicated fan of Riverdance -- The Show, I have been given the information to set the record straight. First of all lets put the CD covers in the correct order. The first CD was released WITHOUT Taps on any tracks, and the songs were sung by a choir called Seolta. The Track list is as follows:
The second CD was released WITH Taps and the songs were sung by Anuna. The Track list is as follows:
Then there came the Third version. Everything is exactly the same as the second version, except for some minor details on the cover of the cd, booklet and one track. Track number 16. Track 16 was replaced by Riverdance Remix, a shorted way cool version of Riverdance, which I think could be turned into an encore dance. The Fourth CD, Riverdance -- Music from the Broadway show was released to match the music of the Broadway Show, but unfortunately most of the music was just copied from other version, you can read the review to find out the whole story on this CD as well as my thoughts. The Track List for the Broadway Show goes like this
Where to get them?Well, you can buy the third version of Riverdance -- Music from The Show, and Riverdance -- Music from the Broadway Show online, or head out to your nearest music store, but for the 1st and 2nd versions you run into a problem. I was wondering if I could order it from my local Barnes and Noble since there is were I find most of my Irish Collection. The lady at the counter said they were Out of Print and therefore no longer available to order. She said my best bet is to go to a used music seller like the local Disc-Go-Round. So if you want the older versions check out the online auctions, garage sales, and used music dealers.
